Kim Gordon’s show, Come Across, opens this Saturday March 8 at KS ART in New York. I wasn’t even aware of Kim’s work until I picked up a t-shirt with one of her watercolors on it at the Thurston show last year. “Painted on translucent rice paper these ethereal images recall faces of audience members from the perspective of the performer.” Other than the shirt, I’d only found a couple images of her paintings before finding the gallery for tomorrow’s show. Kim’s work is simple, haunting and definitely worth a look if you’re in NY between 3/8 and 4/9.
